"Necessity is the mother of invention." This saying certainly holds true for Rock-a-Thigh Baby, which was created by a Wisconsin mom of four daughters. It all began on a chilly spring evening in 2007, when Jennifer went for a walk while wearing her daughter in a baby carrier. Her little girl's legs got cold due to her pant legs being hiked up in the carrier, so Jen went home to dress her warmer. Not wanting to hassle with taking off all the layers of clothing her girl was wearing and deal with cumbersome tights, Jen quickly snipped the legs off of some yarn tights and used rubber bands to keep the extra-long makeshift "socks" up.

Jen's "ah-ha moment" happened later that night while searching online for baby thigh-highs. Much to her frustration and surprise, she couldn't find any. She also thought about how much time she'd waste searching for little socks that were missing in action because they either slipped off or were pulled off, and figured that a well designed thigh-length sock would solve that problem too! Over the next two years, Jen researched cuff designs, secured start-up funds, worked on sock designs, found a US manufacturer, and launched Rock-a-Thigh Baby on January 1, 2010.
Six years later, due to ongoing manufacturing issues, Jen made the difficult, but necessary decision to move production overseas. After essentially starting her business over from scratch with new socks, new sizing, new packaging, a new website, and a new logo, the newly rebranded Rock-a-Thigh Baby was launched in January 2017.

Rock-a-Thigh Baby is a woman-owned small business that is committed to providing quality products at affordable prices. We are mindful about "giving back" of our time and resources and encourage others to do the same. As a wife, mother, business owner and sock designer, Jen wants to acknowledge that Rock-a-Thigh Baby is a wonderful blessing for her and her family since it gives her the opportunity to create a product she can feel good about, while allowing her to be a work-at-home mom.
